Special Note: Birds can be sent Melbourne, Ballarat, Shepparton, Canberra to Sydney shipped almost daily by Barnett Transport 13 1453, with collection door to door. The purchaser can pay on receipt of the birds, thus no extra charges are incurred!

Shipping Tips:

· For cheap crates when shipping birds we suggest you buy small plastic storage boxes and then cut some 3 ply wood or MDF wood for a top, you can drill small holes and use plastic pull ties to stop the lid from coming off.

Australian Air Express not only weigh the crate but also measure for volume (how much room it will take up), they then multiple this and get a figure for the freight cost. Due to this we recommend the plastic storage boxes (available at Super Cheap Auto, Kmart, Big W, usually around $7 each) as the crate is light and will save you money!

· DO NOT put STRAW, WOOD SHAVINGS, PINE NEEDLES in any crates being shipped, just use plain newspaper for the birds. Most Destinations are concerned about spread of contaminated materials which may effect agriculture in their area, so Quarantine may delay or send your shipment back.

· To ship birds you may need to take your drivers licence for identification, also you need the Collectors Name and Phone Number!

· It is best to try and lodge your birds for shipment early in the morning so they do not get held up and delayed and then sent late or the following day!
