Release details!
Birds liberated at 7.00am, cleared in 3 mins - Clear Sky and no wind. We caught the birds approx. 20kms from release, they had been broken into 3 kits, We lost sight of 2, but were able to follow 1 group for 50kms. They were cruising at 70kms and then were broken again with approx. 12 birds leading, while the others turned and lost some ground. We continued following the birds now flying at 75kms

Ouyen - Clear sky, slight NW breeze
Birchip/St Arnaud - Some cloud, slight SW breeze
Ballarat - Cloud and SW breeze

The Race has been a huge success with Flyers from all across the State Clocking birds! Birds have been clocked in Portland, Colac, Ballarat, Clunes, Castlemaine, Kyabram, Melbourne (Middle & South), Geelong & Sea Lake.

The Results are very close with Geelong, Melbourne, Colac and Ballarat all vying for the Top Positions!
Interstate Competitors in the Breeders Plate and the Ring Race are also featuring in the Results, with QLD, SA, NSW & WA all picking up some cash and other prizes!
