JV MARINE MALLEE CLASSIC 2005
IMPORTANT RULE ADJUSTMENT
Due to the unfortunate fact that a few people appear to be confused when it comes down to amounts payable for entry to the Classic, we have reluctantly be forced to make a minor change to the rule regarding HOLDING FEES for birds.
In the past it has only been necessary to pay the holding fee for any bird by 10.00am on the day of the main race, thus enabling our supporters the opportunity to, first see if their bird makes it to the race and secondly the opportunity to assess whether its (the birds) performance warrants such a payment.
There has been some minor confusion between the payment of race entry ($100.00), the fee for the spare bird ($20.00) and the holding fee ($10.00). The fee for the spare bird ($20.00) in no way constitutes a holding fee and goes towards the maintenance of that spare whilst in the Classic Lofts. An example for two birds, race and spare would be $100.00 entry plus $20.00 spare, plus either $10.00 to cover the entered bird or $20.00 all up to cover both birds holding fees.
If the nominated bird’s holding was paid but not the spare and the nominated bird was to be LOST during the period leading up to the race then the spare would not be considered as paid in regards to the holding fee, but would assume the position of the nominated bird and compete in the Event at no further cost.
Unfortunately due to this confusion it is now necessary for the Classic to reluctantly ask our supporters to pay the holding fee when lodging entries. If for some reason the fees are not paid all is not lost, as the bird/s will be placed for open tender commencing with a $20.00 minimum first bid. The rules for such purchases are contained within the JV Marine Mallee Classic rules of racing for your consideration.
This move is not our preferred option but has now become necessary so as to avoid any further confusion
