The
Market Place has been right on the Mark with new people registering and items from many
different fanciers.
The Market Place
has been an instant success as has been proven with the charity auction for
the McCallum Disability Services
whereupon $4,000.00 was raised and donated due to birds sold in the Market
Place. Thanks to all who participated!
The Market Place
is not just about racing pigeons, IT'S
ABOUT THE PIGEON FANCY AS A WHOLE, and as a consequence we
are starting to list birds of
all sorts, shapes and sizes, so keep your eyes open for upcoming sales by leading pigeon enthusiasts,
racing and otherwise, from all parts of
Australia.
Although the success of
the site would normally be measured in registrations, entries
and sales, it is also measured by the number of visitors who, in essence
are window shopping. To those of you
who have reservations with regards to security
etc., DON'T, this site has a full and capable security screen that will
protect the vendor and purchaser alike. Register now, don't
miss a chance to buy that bird, clock, magazine or even 'PUB'
that you may be looking for. PUB,
yes, PUB. The Windermere Hotel, Now World Famous as the site of the
Annual Best Western Mallee Classic "PIGEON BALL" is for
sale. If you doubt me then go to the Market
Place and view the NON PIGEON
ITEMS. Once again we are leading the way by thinking outside the square
and thus increasing the exposure of
the pigeon fancy to the general public.
It's interesting to receive
feedback, some citing satisfaction,
others interest and some others with criticism. Thanks to all who have
bothered to take the time to contact us. All feedback is taken into
account in the hope that we may continue to improve the site.
On the subject of feedback to those within the Melbourne
Pigeon Racing Fraternity who are a 'little put out' by my reference on the
Market Place with regards to Marg Warren and Jesse Egan being "THE
BEST RACING PARTNERSHIP
THAT MELBOURNE HAS EVER SEEN".
Well I'm sorry; I'm willing to retract my
statement as soon as someone can show me a partnership that has
produced more than 20 X 1st
Federation wins in just two and a half years.

 The Premier One Loft Event
In Australia has been another huge success, with the
Pre-event Ball on the Saturday Night keeping everyone fired up for the
Following day.

Australian Gold Cup
|
 Australia's only truly National Event
is to be flown again on the 7th October,
lofts from NSW, SA and VIC competing to see who has the best
skills and birds in an Event of its like held in Australia before.
We are into our
3rd year and the Event has limited rings available so if you wish
to compete contact Barry ASAP to order your rings. Rings are only $6 each and First
Prize in the Ring race is $5,000.
